• Damien performs "the ritual" an completes Bloodthorne's Talisman of Enthrallment (known going forward as TOE to save my sanity typing).
• If any other being touches the TOE, it gets absorbed immediately and a word is all that would be needed to control the person who absorbed it. 
• Damien needs to use the TOE to convince his father's imprisoner to release him. 
• Amma enters the city looking for the Ebon Sanctum Mallor (known as the Sanctum going forward) and runs into Damien saving a cat. She notices he's bleeding and helps him. Since she did him a favor, she asks him for a favor in return: she wants directions to the Sanctum. He gives her bad directions that are supposed to turn her around and make her leave the city. She's too smart for that though, realizes they were bad directions and finds someone else to give her the correct directions. 
• Amma wants the Scroll of the Army of the Undead (known as the Scroll going forward) but Damien has beat her to it. 
• Amma attempts to pick Damien's pocket and accidentally touches the TOE and it gets absorbed into her. 
• The TOE is meant to be forgotten so she doesn't know of its existence unless Damien tells her. She is also unaware that she is being commanded. Damien decides he should tell her about the TOE and does. In order to remove the TOE, Amma would need to die. 
• Damien realizes Amma is the perfect vessel to hide the TOE on the journey. 
• Damien and Amma meet with the cultists. They perform a summoning and bring the imp Kaz back from the dead to joking Damien and Amma on the journey. 
• Damien says they are taking a small detour on their way to Eirengaard (which is to avoid the city of Briarwyke). 
• Amma asks Damien how he got his scar and Damien reveals that it was given to him by a "formidable foe" and hints that some magic causes scars that can't be healed. 
• There is a lot of travelling. There is a werewolf attack and it is revealed that Amma has a silver dagger--which she uses to save the group from the werewolves. 
• Damien's detour is to seek out Anomalous Craven, an alchemist, to see if he can get the TOE out of Amma without killing her. While Damien is meeting with Anomalous, Kaz makes a mess with some good in the lab and tries to blame it on Amma. 
• Damien tells Amma that infernal creatures are incapable of love. 
• They make a second detour. There is still a lot of journeying. 
• Amma has money for clothes? Damien is confused. Amma buys a tunic for Kaz so that Kaz as a dog can stay warm. 
• Amma was almost abducted by a drunk man--Robert. 
• Amma reveals via inner monologue that she is a baroness in disguise. 
• We learn of a man who has killed his brother and claims he was possessed by demons that made him do it. He says he purchased an idol from a new vendor in the market. Damien sensed earlier that something is wrong with the shrine in town. A succubus was in the idol. Damien tells Amma that the idol trick is a tactic of an acquaintance.
• While examining the half of the idol he kept,  a portal opened in the earth and Xander Shadowheart came through it.
• Xander is also a bloodmage.
• Damien wants the Lux Codex after Xander tells him about it. The Lux Codex contains magic directly opposite of Damien's.
• The book is in Faebarrow at the Grand Athenaeum.
• They steal the Lux Codex and escape back to the inn where Amma gets very drunk and begs Damien to kiss her. The next morning, Damien knows she is a baroness and then the guards come to retrieve her. Turns out, she faked her kidnapping so she could steal the Scroll to get revenge. 
• She is betrothed to a douchebag.
• Laurel says she plans to poison Sir Douche (that's what I'm calling him, he doesn't deserve to be named) on Amma's behalf.
• Amma was growing liathau trees and while she was gone, Sir Douche took them back to Brineberth. Silver is all that can be used to touch the liathau saplings which is why Amma had the dagger.
• We learn that Robert is one of Amma's dad's knights and he was trying to "rescue" her when she was almost "abducted".
• Sir Douche calls himself one of Archibald's chosen.
• Amma tells Damien that Sir Douche wants to harvest the trees like crazy and is only marrying Amma so he can absorb the barony.
• Damien has decided he will use the Scroll to help Amma.
• Amma says that Damien will have to fake her kidnapping (for "real" this time) but make it look real. As the Undead are attacking, Damien makes a show of taking Amma away and announces that his real name is Xander Shadowheart (LOL).
• They escape through the portal that Xander gave them earlier.
• Xander has figured out why Damien was travelling to Eirengaard because he was able to see visions through the portal he gave them. Xander is offering them asylum if they rope him into Damien's plan.
